Silver Tray Re-purposed as Blackboard

So during this time of confinement I am working on projects to keep sane.  I want to stay busy and I am focusing on crafts, cooking and my husband.  Creating something new helps me feel accomplished.

I had a silver tray that my sister brought back from her trip to the Canary Islands. I decided to experiment with blackboard paint.  I then added “Hello” in White Vinyl cut with my handy dandy Cricut machine. I love the way it turned out! What do you think?

Life in 2020

We are celebrating a milestone birthday today at our house. Jim is turning 80 today.  This is the first birthday he will spend without his mother, Frances, who passed away in January at 103. There is longevity on his mother’s side and so I hope he too will continue to live a long and fruitful life by my side although in my heart I feel that this year will continue to bring lots of changes. We are living during a pandemic and it feels like our world has changed almost overnight. Some are likening it to WWII only our enemy is invisible and it hits us all, no matter the age, sex, economic background, etc. It is surreal and too horrible to wrap our heads around it. At night, we watch the news and the number of deaths keeps going up, the number of people infected keep multiplying. Only numbers…. I only get the details of the lives we lost from the Funeral Home in town via email called “tributes” . No funerals allowed. No celebrations of life can happen and so no closure….

My beloved Italy

My heart breaks for what Italy and for what the world is going through with the Cov-19 Pandemic. It is quite surreal to watch the news and spend days locked in the house. I find myself spending more time on social media to feel some sort of connection with others. I pray that my friends and relative stay well. I look forward to the day in which we can go back to our normal lives. To all my followers, please take care of yourselves. Don’t take any chances and stay well! Much love, Lillian
